The relationship between extracurricular activities and student achievement is extremely strong at Riverview East Academy. When students participate in extracurricular activities, it’s probable that his/her academic studies are healthy as well. Students who engage in after school activities are less likely to dropout of school. Riverview East Academy offers a wide range of extracurricular activities for our students. And, it has been proven that their participation has developed social skills, decreased discipline, increased parental involvement, increased the attendance and graduation rate and increased the number of “A” and “B” Honor Roll students quarterly. The above are just a few advantages of participating in after school activities at Riverview. Riverview East Academy has been fortunate to have club advisors and coaches that truly care about not only the extracurricular aspect of a child’s experience at Riverview, but the educational component as well.
